American Will Artino (211-C/F-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked WM Dragons, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Singapore S. (#7, 6-10) 70-67. WM Dragons is placed at 2nd position in ASEAN League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. WM Dragons will need more victories to improve their 10-6 record. In the team's last game Artino had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be WM Dragons' top player in his first season with the team. Former Creighton University star has very solid stats this year. Artino is in league's top in points (3rd best: 23.3ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.3rpg) and averages impressive 2.2bpg and 51.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old American Xavier Alexander (198-G-88) of Singapore S.. Alexander had a very good evening with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Singapore S. was edged by the higher-ranked WM Dragons (#2, 10-6) 70-67. Singapore S. managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Alexander is a newcomer at Singapore S., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another WM Dragons' star - Bulgarian forward Simeon Lepichev (206-F/C-95). Lepichev scored 13 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of WM Dragons, helping his team with a 70-67 win against the lower-ranked Singapore S. (#7, 6-10). WM Dragons needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 6 lost games. Lepichev has a very solid season. In 12 games in ASEAN League he scored 11.1ppg. He also has 9.1rpg, 1.5bpg and FGP: 53.4%.
